So, it's probably a little late, but I decided to have a blog for my travel adventures. I have my myspace page (forced upon me by loving, caring friends), however it is set to private. I send out mass emails...but don't always include pictures. I decided maybe a blog would be a fun way to share what is going on my life.
For those who don't know, I'm still in San Diego. I plan to be here until mid May. My plans after that are not decided yet. Jobs in the world of travel nursing tend to come up about one month before the contract ends. My hope is to go to Denver Children's Hospital. There are 2 Hematology/Oncology positions there right now...I hope 1 of them is for me!! I have a back up plan...but it's too early for that. My recruiter is working very hard to help me get to Denver!
Life in San Diego is great. I have a wonderful church and an amazing group of friends. I volunteer at church with the preschoolers....they are so fun! I also help out with the young adult ministry. Work is good...I love the nurses I work with. The downfall of being a traveler in San Diego is getting cancelled once a pay period. While sometimes this is a welcome break...I don't get paid when I get cancelled. The floor I work on is overstaffed right now which means there is not an opportunity to make up my missed pay.
I plan to put up some of my favorite pictures from my 2 years of traveling! I hope you enjoy!
